Taylor Maounis has been a part of the Beyond Dance family since the studio first opened its doors in 2003. After growing up as a student at the studio, Taylor began teaching at Beyond Dance in 2015. Since then, she has had the opportunity to work with dancers of various ages and abilities, helping them develop their technique, confidence, and love for dance.

Taylor earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Writing with a minor in Dance from the College of Staten Island. She also earned her Master's degree in Special Education from Touro College. She works as a Public High School English teacher for the New York City Department of Education and has spent years helping students grow both academically and personally. Her background in both dance and education allows her to create a fun, supportive, and engaging environment where dancers can build confidence, develop strong technique, and express themselves creatively.

Taylor’s love for dance began at Beyond Dance, where she grew up as a student and developed the passion for dance that continues to shape her today. Having trained with a wide range of choreographers throughout her dance career, Taylor is grateful for the opportunity to pass on the knowledge, creativity, and love of dance that shaped her own journey.

Through teaching and choreography, Taylor enjoys bringing music and movement together to create performances that allow dancers to challenge themselves, have fun, and truly enjoy being on stage. She has choreographed for competitions, festivals, and community events and loves working with dancers of different ages and experience levels. Above all, she hopes to create a positive environment where her students feel encouraged to express themselves, grow as dancers, and build a lasting love for dance.
