Serena Abad

Serena Abad began dancing at the age of three at a local dance studio, where she was a company member competing in regional and national dance competitions throughout the United States. Performing at KTU’s “Beatstock” and other events encouraged Serena to teach the art of dance to both children and adults. Serena is a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. She has completed her second level certification through the Dance Educators of America’s Teacher Training course, and is certified through the Leap N’ Learn early childhood dance program. Serena attended the 2015 Rhee Gold DanceLife Teacher Conference in Scottsdale, Arizona, the 2016 Dance Teacher Summit in NYC, and continues to take master classes with renowned choreographers. In 2015, Serena won a choreography award for her piece, “Black” at nationals. On a daily basis, Serena demonstrates her love and passion for dance to her students and the Beyond Dance family.
