​Maggie McCaughey has been training at Beyond Dance since the age of nine. She has trained in all styles including ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, and hip hop. She received an Outstanding Achievement Award in 2012 and the L.E.A. Scholarship Award in 2016. She has competed at regional and national competitions and has taken many workshops and intensives with various choreographers to extend her dance knowledge. Maggie participated in a summer intensive at Marymount Manhattan College that exposed her to the professional dance world. She trained under Marymount faculty and learned the history of dance. Maggie has choreographed two pieces in the past two student choreography showcases at Beyond Dance and this experience has allowed her to discover her love for choreography. She has assisted in various classes over the years with ages ranging from 2 1/2 to 10. Working with different teachers has made her realize how much she enjoys teaching. Maggie is looking forward to continuing to grow not only as a dancer, but as a teacher as well. Maggie can be seen as a featured dancer in the new music video “Would You Mind” by PRETTYMUCH, an upcoming band.
